Fine art has always been an important part of life for Wendy and Omar. Whether at home in Grand Rapids, Michigan, or traveling, favorite activities include visits to art museums, galleries, and studios. Their personal collection includes many works by artists who have become friends. Wendy and Omar support arts organizations including the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, LowellArts!, and SiTE:LAB. Omar is a member of the Art Committee of Fountain Street Church which mounts seven exhibitions each year including one under the auspices of ArtPrize.® ArtPrize exhibitions at the Church include works by 25 to 30 artists selected from approximately 1500 entries.
