This painting was made along the Ijssel River near Olst-Wijhe in the Netherlands.

I titled it working waters because every bit of water in The Netherlands is purposeful, it is either continuously draining water away or is an active inland shipping route. The Ijssel is an important water way in that respect. While painting this several ships passed by.
