December 2014 NewletterDear Friends of the ArtisTTable: Two
years ago we launched a website that we thought would be a good way to
bring many artists from around the world together to make art, and to
show it off in exhibitions for all to see. Over the last 24 months we
have done just that and grown to have a good presence on several social
media platforms as well. We have hosted 14 unique juried exhibitions and
held several figure drawing and plein air events in the US and Europe.
Most recently we have announced an Art Retreat in Morvan France, 30
August - 07 September 2015. We
continue to be very busy here at the ArtisTTable with lots of things
happening as we finish out 2014 and welcome in 2015. It is our pleasure
to announce the Call for Small Art in our Second Annual Open Themed Small Works Show in the Richard App Gallery, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. ArtisTTable Morvan France Art Retreat ![]() The setting for this adventure is the lush rolling hills of the Morvan region of France, near the village of Larochemillay. being awarded an Honorable Mention in the ArtisTTable Portrait Show, I
have been very busy with commissions. In fact I have 6 in my studio
right now that I need to do." -Erna Langstaad, The Netherlands "The ArtisTTable events provide two necessary elements to the fully-
realized life: social contact with others who have shared interests yet
different approaches, ultimate goals and levels of ability. Participants
enrich those around them while being enriched themselves and all in a
pleasing and merry social milieu. The other element that is provided is
an opportunity to hone one's skills, challenge oneself through a
disciplined and mindful effort to improve and excel." - Charles La Rue, Michigan, USA "It was a joy to work with you, it really didn't feel like work at all. After the stuffy art studio classes I've been doing for the past few months, your laid back attitude was a breath of fresh air. It felt like friends getting together socially instead of artists and models. To tell you the truth, i can't remember the last time I asked an artist if I could stay an extra hour. I was truely having that much fun. Thanks again and I hope we can make art again sometime." - Bob the Art Model, Chicago, USA "A
few days ago I received a wonderful present, 3 of the of my photos were
accepted into the ArtisTTable's Women Show. If any one would have told
me 30 years ago when I ended my studies in Betzalel that I would be
walking in this direction today, I would not believe it..." - Ilana Weiler, Jerusalem, Israel "...Wow. That's great news to wake up to. Cool. Makes me want to paint more and more. I just went through the show and saw some terrific work..." - Lindy Bishop, Michigan, USA |
